“The one thing that matters is the effort. It continues, whereas the end to be attained is but an illusion of the climber, as he fares on and on from crest to crest” – Saint Exupery

Welcome!

Middlebury Rowing is a competitive club program.  We train with passion and focus, and our aim is to compete and win against the best varsity teams from New England and beyond. In recent years the team has grown to over 70 student-athletes, both men and women, forming a competitive and supportive team.

ACRA Regatta 2012

Watch our novice women race their heat at the American Club Rowing Association Championships:

The crew went on to win the silver medal, the first ACRA medal in our program’s history, capping a great season: undefeated in dual races, a bronze medal at the New England Championships, and nearly making the final at the Dad Vail Regatta!  Congratulations ladies!

Dad Vail 2011

Middlebury Varsity women take the first Dad Vail medal in the history of the program, winning a silver in the Varsity 4+ event. The crew was led by senior coxswain Elise Cohen and senior Meghan Blumstein at stroke, with junior Cailin Ross in two and first-years Rebecca Myhre and Brittany Thomas in three-seat and bow, respectively. Racing with purpose and aggression, they convincingly outpaced a large field of the best Division II/III fours from around the country, falling only to a much larger and heavily-favored crew from Washington University.
